Anyone have a copy of a legit XP Home Edition for OEM? Not looking for a pirated copy cause I’m using serials on the actual computers.
Alternatively an emachines XP Home Recovery CD(s) would also work.
I just had to restore a friends Toshiba laptop with this crap. What a pain in the ass it was. It took like 5 different torrent downloads but finally found it. I will see if I can find it for you and let you know.
I grabbed one off Demonoid, but like an asshat I burned it and left it sitting on my desk at home. The torrent says its legit and includes the MD5 hash and everything. I can’t use pirated copies since it’s for a co-workers computer at work. All we have is XP Pro sitting around.
This is the second computer within a month that I’ve had come in with XP Professional, when the CoA sticker says XP Home. WTF?!
You need to find a OEM version also if your checking torrents your key won’t work with other versions.

We have licenses for Pro…however, it’s a personal machine so I really don’t want to use our XP Pro on it. I’m assuming it was at a repair shop before that didn’t have licenses for it.
oh, it’s a personal machine…gotcha. yeah I usually shy away from putting company licenses on my personal stuff.
