That is my “snide” comment I made. Just felt like sharing my thoughts toward what some were saying. Was not even near a JayS post nor was it implied to be toward him one bit. I simply wanted to share what felt about the situation.
JayS I was on funeral detail in the Army for 8 months. I had to bury dead soldiers 2-3 days a week for MONTHS. I am sorry but you bet your ass I think war and the service is avoidable and I would NEVER have anything bad to say about one of the men and women I laid to rest defending their nation. Clearly I understand the difference between drunk driving and killing an innocent person in a car and dying in combat. I think it is despicable for one to one to do that. However I suppose I just have a greater respect for one in passing due to having buried so many. Its never a good thing no matter the situation. Its sad, someone is hurt, it is tragic. I respect the passing of all and can only think of their friends and families no matter the situation.
