the oil pump is an 06A block problem.
the only turbo i blew up was the mk2 tdi thats been piss pounded for 80k running 28 psi, spiking to 30 if not more…
my dad’s with 80k, turbo was mint.

my VR6 ran tip top.
a VR6 turbo i put together 4 years ago, still running tip top. the engine/kit has been in 2 different cars.
