My first car was a 1980 Pontiac LeMans. Shit brown inside and out. Hide the little bit of rust it had quite well. Hand me down from my dad when I turned 16, had it for 3-4 years before I killed it and bought the Avenger. Stuff I added???..quarts of 5w-30 on a regular basis(blown RMS). Got rid of it when the motor locked up beating the piss out of it on the back roads of Duanesburg where I grew up. I learned how to drive well in that auto shitbox.

“8-track players became less common in homes and automobiles in the late 1970s. By the time the Compact Disc arrived in 1982–83, the 8-track had greatly diminished in popularity.”
so you are telling me that your 1988 van had an 8-track player when CDs have been out for 5 years and regular cassettes were dominating for at least 10+ years? I find that extremely hard to believe. I was born in 81 and I’ve never seen an 8-track player in a car.
Wow, thats pretty funny… i dont care what wikipedia says… it was a my familys van…i think i would know… my mom liked fleetwood mac at the time, weve got…well had (i dont know what happened to them) a whole pile of 8-tracks… so end of dicussion.
thats like me not believing you were born in 81. both OUR statements are facts…Jeezzz chill out its only a 8track player in a car (van).
His point is you were/are either mistaken or lying.
