So i started cleaning out my garage the other day because i want to have a decent/clean working space for this winter, when i thought it would be a cool idea to see what kind of space & tools everyone else is working with! Turns out Zilvia already has a thread like this but they’re gay anyway
Make sure to include shit like pix, what kind of equipment & tools you’re using, future plans?
This is my shitty garage. Really small space, very little lighting, and a lot of random junk that needs to be thrown out like that fucking stove
As you can see i got one wall organized, but i’m planning on clearing as much shit out as i can, getting some of those long tube lights they use in stores (whatever they’re called), and painting the walls and ceiling white to brighten up the space instead of that grey.
When we bought our place there was no garage, just a 8x15’ steel shed in the yard, which i kept. Then i had a brand new steel-sided garage put up by Viking Building. Zig did a good job. There are some very minor issues but everything else was great.
16’ x 24’ was the largest permit i could get. 13’ high ceiling though. Steel sided, steel roof. Electrical and Lighthing was installed by Vince who used to own Mild to Wild in Cambridge… Hector’s buddy. He and his dad did a good job in one day.
This is when we first moved in before i did the driveway.
With the driveway done. textured concrete curbing, porch and rear pad with a walk-way to the garage’s side door.
I don’t keep much in there… my car, Ving’s powerwheels Hummer, a BBQ and that’s about it.
When i buy my next place i want to get something with a bit more of a rear yard so that i can put up a 40x40 or bigger… I’ll likely go with Viking Building again. I don’t want a lift but i’d like to be able to put 2-3 cars in there with still tons of space for other stuff.
