I know there are tons of places nationally that do it but I’d rather be able to take a box of stuff to a local place. Anyone know of a local place to get it done?
(and yes, I searched).

Theres a place in Ohio i think in kent (or somewhere towards there) that does it, with less than a day turn around. I’ve got a chevelle frame i’d like to get done, been concidering taking a trip
just get your parts gold plated…BAAAALLLLLEEEERRR!!!
Thinking about it for one piece. No joke.
shit, somewhere around here does it. SSBC uses them for their rotors. I am pretty sure they are local somewhere. It will come to me in a few minutes.

Not far from Newman.
Are you looking for zinc with a chromate or what?
OOoooo…Nice. I’ve got a couple things in mind. Anyone know what’s the typical charge, for something like, oh I unno, a Timing cover or valve cover?

Thanks. Just looking to have a few heatshields and a box of hardware done. Getting all the suspension and xmember hardware redone.
hmmm i might have to have some of my parts plated also
They usually charge by the pound and i dont think its that much. The place in ohio when i checked was like 350 to zinc plate a whole car frame, which included chemical stripping before plating
why not just do it yourself?

Because this is something I want professionally done.
I think the place does zinc, though I’ve only known for a fact they do nickel as well, here in Rochester on Carin St (Next to the Auto auction and auto scrap yard). I’ll see if I can find a number. If they don’t, I’m sure they can recommend someone who does.
