 It works with/uses torrents, but its for sharing “legal” HD content (actually, it is azureus, just with a different interface)
pretty sweet… most of the stuff I’ve looked at so far had speeds in the 300K range

does it support encription same as azeurus?
zudeo IS azureus. It’s the 3.0 version just with a fancy GUI. If you run it in ‘Advanced’ mode you will see the traditional Azureus interface (which I prefer).
yeah, it’s exactly the same as azureus, just with a nicer gui (and you can access said torrents directly thru the program opposed to using something like isohunt or whatever)

really? I assumed that they were marketing it as something different (although if you install it, it WILL overwrite azureus) by the “Zudeo: Powered by Azureus 3.0”
do they plan on switching the name of it eventually or something?
cool, im gonna checkthis out
yeah, I thought it was pretty sweet  only shitty part is that they don’t have a ton of content yet, but I assume as it catches on, you’ll see that change.
I can actually see this > youtube, especially since viacom (and another company, forget who) said that they were pulling all their content from there. Plus, HD vids> super compressed flash based youtube/google/ect. The only negitive is that you have to download before viewing, but like I said in the first post, I was getting some pretty wild d/l speeds (for torrents).
a 500meg file only took around 10-15 mins to complete
Not that I know of. I think they’re gonna stay with the Zudeo name. I don’t even use the new features. I just wanted the newest Azureus client for my torrents.
So what is to prevent copyright holders from busting you when using this? Are you just as exposed as using regular torrents?
well the whole concept is sharing legal content via torrent, although it still works the same as it always has as far as downloading other torrents (non-Zudeo hosted). I’m sure that they will eventually offer paid content aswell somewhere down the road
I’d still suggest using peer guardian though, better protection than nothing
If you download the “beta version” on linux it just has you download azureus 2.5… lame
Zudeo? No… There are no downloads on the project page. I got it from the site that was posted
Welcome to 4 years ago. If your serious see below, if not disregard my pickup on sarcasm:
Basically you have the torrent program (azureus, bittorrent, others)
Go to a torrent website (torrentspy, mininova, demonoid, others)
Search for file and click link
Link opens a file download in your torrent program.
Save to hard drive.
Same concept as a p2p program but using host servers to provide the link, then people can “seed” the file so just like p2p just slightly different.
^^^ bingo. Then the suv shows up to you house with all the porn/software you ever need!
