I is not happy.

Waited for a few months to get this in.

Hey look a box! :wow

The UPS guy comes up to lift it and nearly throws it over the shoulder, and proceeds to give me the “Wtf is this?” look.

I decide to check the goods upon delivery, because I know how much of PITA it is if you don’t check it upon receiving.

Time to talk to the vendor =(

Oh man I would be PISSED

That SUCKS!!!

I’d say :shifty Be prepared for some shit. Filing claims for this crap is tedious most times…

^ which is why its good to open in it infront of the UPS or delivery company representative

The two workers that were there were cool and just as curious to see how it held up in shipping and exactly what it was.

When I opened it, they saw the damage as well, in their talks with each other they said to label that as “refused because of damage on the package” and explained to me that their managerial side doesn’t allow to open packages like that on facility, so if I said that the actual product was damaged, the rep would question why it was opened.

I found that sort of interesting.

But I knew to open it on the spot, because another guy who received the same hard top from the same company, had structural fractures in the top. He however did not inspect upon delivery and inspected later on, which created a huge drama and mess.

I’m hoping to avoid this at the moment, so I contacted the manufacturer.

OUCH

GL w/ everything

That sucks dude! I had the same thing happen with my hood for the muustang, opened it up and it had 5-6 quarter size chunks taken out of it, i was pissed!

Whats that to anyways?

Mazda Miata hardtop

Good luck man. Its gonna look sick on the miata

Hope that was cheaper than the HTs for my car. I want one bad but they’re $3k. :facepalm

shitty deal man. When my CF hatch arrived, I kept the UPS man right there… he was just as curious to see what the hell was in it. Once I finished my look over, I told him thanks a lot. ;p

A vendor on s2ki.com has 900 for FRP and 1600 for CF. The CF fitment doesn’t look too bad on it at all.

damn , and the box looks like my 5 yr old put it together, damn, sucks, hope they fix the problem!

what does that top cost, I know the OEM ones fetch some unreal money

Miatas are actually quite reasonable at about a grand for an Oem one.

Most other manufacturers are pretty outragious, IE Honda, Bmw and such.

Packing was done very well, short of missing a wooden crate which would have put it into a different shipping rate.

This almost seems like a manufacturer defect more so than shipping.

Heads would ROOOOLLLLLLL!!!

Man thats a sweet piece… fitment?

Any updates?

I’m sure fitment is good, however couldn’t test it as if I didn’t inspect it upon pickup, I’d wait about 90 days just to hear how the claim went, and it would be out of the sellers hands.

If I reject upon pickup, then “it was never delivered” so it goes back to him.

If you sing for it without inspection, its “yours” and filing a claim after is with UPS and it’s a pita.

Update from the seller.

:ponder

Hmmmm, keep on them about it. Nothing a little FG#180 gel and some carefull sanding/buffing wouldn’t take care of as they said, but NOT out of your pocket for doing so…
