EW!!!
That dead pixel is hardly noticeable.
ok… ouch. Definitely, had shipping insurance on that thing right?
what are you watching?
is that one of those screen saver/wallpapers i have SEEN?
this made me lol
oh quit being a pussy, barely noticable.
this happend to my tv, i just had sex with it and everything was fine
Im waiting for UPS to pick the damn thing up. I need to rebox it and wait
that’ll buff right out.
Couldn’t wait to play Wii, huh?
that really does suck, you must be bummed!
Im just annoyed about having to wait. I should have powered it on Thurs when it arrived instead of Sunday. :picard:
reminds me of donnie darko when he stabs his eye in his mirror reflection.
what kind of shape was the box in???
Box was fine, I inspected it before accepting delivery. I would have refused if there was significant damage to the box.
I helped the UPS guy take the TV off the truck. I should have known something was wrong because it was laying flat. Im sure they had other packages stacked on top of it earlier in the day (arrived at 7pm). I think that’s how it got damaged. I didn’t really think anything of it. I even asked the UPS if he would stay and wait while i took the TV out to make sure it wasn’t damaged. He said, " we aren’t obligated to do that, and if there is a problem you can file a damage claim"
The TV wasn’t packed that well. It just had hard styrafoam (spelling) along the bottom and top edges and corners. There was nothing to protect the actual center of the box and screen except a thin plastic sleeve around the LCD.
After seeing some of the servers and network equipment I receive in my office that looks like it was delivered by Ace Ventura, I am really hesitant to have anything shipped anymore.
Fuck, even my Netflix envelope from last week looked like it was delivered by a St. Bernard
Yeah but online retailers have the lowest prices for LCD/Plasma TV’s. The same model would have cost me about $600 more at Best Buy or Circuit City.
I’ve been pretty fortunate with large electronics, never had a problem until this one.
Never help the UPS get stuff off the truck. They are paid (well) to bring the item to your house and load it in. If HE damages the product bringing it in, its their problem. When I worked there we were instructed to decline help so we could not be liable for that.
If you saw your TV was laying flat, that is an instant problem. Normally they have a larger open area in the back of the truck to stand up big items (like TV’s). If it was me, it probably fell in the truck, took up your offer to help to get some liability off my back, and GTFO before you turned it on.
That sucks.
This is exactly why I bought mine locally, I have bad luck with this type of thing.
