how could a manifold crack and the welds get shitty from shipping???
That box looks like it has been used a few times. It is recommended that a box be used only once for shipping because the walls break down during transit, and because people like Sam unload them. :eek3: Also did everything come in one box? If so was everything packaged well? I agree with Chad. I don’t see how the cracks could occur during shipping.
me too!!!
everything thing came in one box except the front mount… it was not packaged well

If he’s trying to blame it on the shipping, then he needs to call UPS and tell them that he wants to file a claim for damages. UPS will come to your house and inspect the package and determine whether or not the damages could’ve come from shipping. However if the package wasn’t insured then the shipper will only be reimbursed for $100 if they determine that it WAS damaged in shipping. If not, then you could sue him for the damaged parts because it was determined that it was not UPS’s fault.
But I don’t know when you got the package, and you may be too late because I think the package has to be unopened.

if its unopened then how you gonna know if its damaged or not?
oops… I mean that they have to come inspect within a certain amount of days from the day you received it…

Judging by the condition of the box, UPS would not pay that claim. UPS will not insure packages that are shipped in used boxes due to the breaking down of the structural integrity of the box during multiple ships. And no, the package does not need to be unopened, but it does help if all of the original packaging is stimm in the box. If it was not packed corrrectly (ie 3 inches of padding on all sides of enclosed items) then that would also place the liability on the person shipping it.
Cliff notes: Whitey, the dude screwed you.
