Even though I’m not married and really don’t plan on being so in any sort of short time frame, I can’t agree with this more.
I’m the best man in a wedding coming up next winter. They are so consumed (well, she is so consumed, he just wants her to do what she wants. She’s a fuckin fruitcake and isn’t right for him, but whatever) with the damn wedding that they don’t do anything other than that.
For instance, I had a party at my house Saturday night. I installed a bar and wanted to try it out, so some people came over for the Pens game, we hung out, drank, just had a good overall night. About 15 or so people over. After the game, I look over to see my buddy and his fiancee on my laptop, so I’m like whatever. So I go over to see what they’re looking at. THey are on fucking weddingchapel.com looking up cake designs. WTF. Can’t you people just spend a night out with friends and relax and not worry about this fuckin’ thing?
