Wedding Responsibilities

I have been put in charge of 3 things for the wedding and I am looking for recomendations.

Photographer
Transportation
Band

If you have any personal recomendations I would love to hear them!

photos: starboy? if not, we used a guy from cannonsburgh who was pretty decent, good price, and let us keep all proofs.

Trans: anywhere with a stretched suv. The girls in our party enjoyed being able to step up into something as opposed to having to crouch down and get in a regular limo.

Band: http://www.jpband.com/ actually don’t know how they are live, but this guy autocrosses a z06 and is a great driver. Also a pretty nice guy when you talk to him.

if you want the specifics of the photographer and some of the shots he took of us, lmk and I’ll hook you up. I should still have receipts for the limo also, but we had the wedding closer to greensburg so you should probably just call around close to where the wedding will be.

dj>band

Ask the wife what type of transortation she (and the bridal party) would like. Same for music, do you want a live band or some DJ belting out the exact same tunes you hear at every wedding?

Photography is tougher to pick…best ones go by word-of-mouth, but always ask for proofs. We ran into a photographer that used someone elses proofs and we busted her…turns out her stuff was shit, so we got lucky. Also plan a place for pictures ahead of time…with a back up just in case.

“Storybook Photography” - I believe they are out of Greensburg. Great people to deal with and they give you all proofs with reprint permission.

highly disagree, dj’s remind me of college partys

When is the wedding? I’m down to travel. I have some of my wedding work on my website. I have 2 that I’m still waiting for the bride/groom to get back to me on which pictures to use.

Gene was awesome, pics came out great and he even picked me up when i was running after the limo!

We didn’t use him because we got married in NY. Friends of ours shopped around said his prices were very good compared to others in the Monroeville/Greensburg area.

October 17th…

dude the guy i had was awsome…you seen the way he worked.

ou get some of the best shots

if you havent found one i will get you his information…

get me his info please

POOOOOOUR SOME SUGARR ON MEEEEEEE!!!

whoa wait what? :eek3:

next year

gonna have to disagree with you on that. was at a wedding recently and will now have to say having the live band was def worth it. it was awesome.

I can do then. I might actually be able to have another photographer as a second shooter. We should also have our business open by then too.

Transportation: Tourtise Limosines. They gave us a great deal on our party bus that we used for our wedding. It was stocked with champange, beer, wine coolers, etc. and the driver was awesome. I think the total cost including tip was under 800.

Photos: Lifestyles Photography. Can’t remember the guy’s name but he did a great job and his prices were awesome. We got a cd with all of the jpeg files of our wedding along with a coffee table album (the ones with the thick cardboard pages) and a free engagement session for like 2K I think. He did a great job and his prices were low.

we had a small wedding so we got a suv from enterprise, used a photgrapher from Kaseys work and somehow Kasey found a dj…

my 2 cents

I would love to try as a second or hehe third photographer…

I have a 20d. I invested into a 55-250IS and the kit 18-55, just need to use/barrow a good low light lens…

  • I could work for free (well, food and drink).

I’m an amateur and I’ve never photographed a wedding, only stills…
