I talked with a guy who helped his friend put a LS1 into a supra MK3, becuase his 7m head was warped beyond machining tolerance and a new head would have cost him more than his tranny + motor + driveshaft.
He probably put that motor in there because it was the his preference and budget. Simpler and more powerful.
Hell if my neck gets any more red I may just have to start looking for a smallblock.
