00 Civic Si EM1 | JDM B18C-R w/ ~35K miles | Nice Daily

hpfp issues (replaced with my ownership and prior owner, my car was one owner 40k miles, so its not like it was an 80,000 miles)
lpfp issues
fuel pressure sensor
intake valves looked like a car with a million miles that only ran on cheap tar based gasoline
needed shocks at 50k miles
needed bushings at 50k miles
needed fuel injectors
needed coil packs
thermostat needed replaced at 50k miles and water pumps are notorious for going after 60,000 miles
rectaring around camshaft was broke (again fairly common)
and a misfire that could not be diagnosed after $1500 at a bmw dealership (after i replaced the basics)

so yes i did have some issues, and i dont wish them on anyone. if i could have figured out the misfire i would most likely still own it as there arent any other cars out there with the power/fun/fuel economy that the 335i has

wow… that’s a long list of problems considering the E90 M3 is the most reliable car on bmw’s lineup!

Thanks for the reply sax…
I picked up a catch can to hopefully stop the bleeding so to speak but I haven’t looked at the intake valves yet…sorta avoiding it actually haha…otherwise I’m the type who’d buy a spare head and swap it on cuz it’d bother me…
I’m with u on the misfire/ignition b.s… that type of stuff is the worst. Esp when u have to start replacing crap x 6 @ BMW stealership prices. :frowning:
