Crank position sensor. when the car is warm the car wont start. cold it starts fine.
I replaced the sensor 2x not the sensor. checked the wire for the sensor no problems there.
they are running a bit thicker oil/lucas as the car was consuming a little do you think going back to 5w30 would fix it?

id check with the dealer on this one. I have an 02 spec and have a book full of paper work for the car and my crank pos sensor was replaced a few times and I think was recalled. Good luck
i hate those cars… why didnt you keep the a4?
i called they said there was no open recalls for the car
is there a spec-v forum I could search around on?
Try replacing the cam position sensor
there was a recall bulletin out for an ecu re-flash with something regarding the crank sensor. call the dealer and see if you can get that done.
do you turn the key to the on position and wait a few seconds before cranking? that will usually start the car every time if you do that
shes fixed this can be closed. and thank you
