Car is a reliable DD with no problems. Got 26mpg with mostly city driving and some highway from Buffalo to Grand Island and back. No rust at all. The only issues with the car are cosmetic and its performance is not hindered at all. The motor pulls strong and the car is almost entirely stock.
Asking price is $5200. Also interested in the following trades:
-Honda Del Sol
-Honda Civic
-Acura Integra (90-93 preferred)
-Mazda Miata
-Nissan 240sx (s14 preferred)
Trades MUST be clean, 5spd, not built or boosted, few or no problems, and preferably stock.
PM for anything. Thanks.
no, I never got around to it. The rebuild by nissan included a new exhaust manifold and valve assembly. Oh, and the trunk button inside the car doesn’t work. I checked the fuse and it’s good, so i’m not sure what the problem is
The motor was rebuilt because the precat clogged in the screens and sucked carbon into the motor frying the piston rings and made the car burn a ton of oil before It was rebuilt.
I was also told by the owner that the butterfly valve screws were fixed under recall and loctited. Those are the two major recalls for the spec v’s and both have been fixed on the car.
no prob, I forgot to tell you when I was taking the blizzaks off the car right before you bought it, it broke. Idk why but nissan oem lug keys are terrible quality and it bent to the point of not working. You should be able to snag one at any local nissan dealer for like 4$
yes I shoulda said two major issues with these cars*
the major recalls were the precats and a shittttt ton of sensors throughout the engine bay.
I only asked as i had to just do those on my moms car. and it wasn’t any fun… but the new race header makes it funner…lol it feels alot quicker, but maybe because Im use to my TDI…
But anyways with the new motor, this car, im sure is solid and a blast to drive. GL with the sale
