This is my moms car, she bought it brand new, im an auto tech and have personally cared for it. at less then 10k miles on it I took care of the common problems on this, Red lock tight on the butterfly valves and removed the 1st cat. in the last 5k I put a new battery in, replaced the alternator, all new calipers, pads and rotors. its been garaged its whole life, and she is retired now so she doesn’t drive it much
5500 its 4th line down
it is well maintained I didn’t think she would ever sell it. But they use my dads TDI and have been doing alot of traveling so she said just sell it.
I bought pretty much the same exact car from 91mr2 about a year ago when I was in a pinch and rocked it through the winter before letting it go. It really was a great little car that never let me down and was pretty damn quick. This one looks super clean and the price seems really good.
To give you an idea how my mom drives it the factory 17" Z rated tires lasted her 70K miles.
really there are no flaws with this car. I would love to sell it to an enthusiast who can appreciate a well maintained car.
(also I had a few questions on what i meant by remove the 1st cat, the car has a header, and O2 spacers and in 80K its never thrown a CEL)
It’s common for the baffles to get sucked up into the engine from the 1st cat thus why a header was put on, glws awesome price too! Your mom must be a cool lady if she drives a spec v lol
The QR25DE has a “pre-cat” on the stock exhaust manifold that is very close to the head. Degradation of the matrix inside the pre-cat is a known issue on these motors, and when the matrix goes it can get pulled back into the combustion chamber, score the walls, etc… Nissan issued a recall that a lot of people will tell you doesn’t really fix the problem. This car has the best fix: pre-cat removed at low mileage. If you’re going to buy one, this is how you want to get it. :thumleft:
I had someone from here come look at it. he said it was in better shape then he expected but could only come up with 4k.
I have the title and lein release here in my hand. title shows as one owner.
