/WTT: 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 6-speed - $6900

Hi all,

Up for sale is my mom’s 2003 Spec V. It just turned 81K miles, about 10K of which I put in the last couple months driving back and forth to NYC. This car was bought brand new by my mother, and has been dealer maintained since day 1, and is as stock as the day is long. It is in great shape, and needs nothing. The reason for the sale is bec. we are looking to get her into a 2006-2008 Civic Si, hence the possible trade. She loves this Spec V, and it’s hard for her to let go of it, but she’s never owned a car more than 3 years, so needless to say, for her, a newer car is certainly overdue. We’ve decided on the Si (2 or 4 door both considered).

Please let me know via PM if you have an 06-08 Si, and are looking to do a trade plus cash deal, or simply if you’re looking to buy one of these straight out. We are very easy to deal with, her and I, so don’t hesitate to contact us. Also, feel free to reach out to anyone else on here I’ve sold cars to, I’m sure most of them would have great things to say. I have no problem throwing the car on my lift for you to inspect it. We have nothing to hide. Most of these cars, believe it or not, have already started rotting out. This one has been washed/waxed/detailed on a regular basis, and still polishes up like nearly new. It’s truly a great example of one of these cars, and for nearly 9 years old, shows terrifc.

Couple quick specs:
Red exterior/Black & Gray interior (stock, the only way they came)
81K (Will slowly continue to rise as it’s driven daily)
1 owner
Completely stock, never been modded
Brand new rotors/pads, all 4 corners (2 months ago, done by me)
Newer tires
Everything works 100%, needs nothing!

Pictures to follow in the next couple days (in DD form, and not detailed), and it will be fully detailed for the new owner, free of charge.

Thank you,

Joe

These photos are for the meantime, in case anyone here is not too familiar with these cars…

Has the butterfly valve issue been taken care of? I love these things. GLWS.

Says stock, so I assume the exhaust manifold wasn’t changed?
Does it burn any oil?

And only asking because I am interested in the car.

The butterfly valve screws have not been removed and reinstalled with Loctite, if that’s what you’re wondering Baker, and no Dekar12, the exhaust manifold has not been changed. Again, completely stock. The cars that DID have those issues all blew up within 40K miles anyways. I think it’s pretty safe to say this car was one of the good ones…but by all means, the new owner can feel free to address those concerns if need be…

Also this car does not burn any oil. I check it regularly with as often as I take it to NYC. If there is any consumption, it is not enough to notice. This car has a healthy engine, I’ve been in enough of these to know that…

The car can be shown at any time, Dekar12, if you’re truly interested, just let me know.

Have the recalled issues been repaired, I owned a spec v that was a 2002,same body style and it had a laundry list of things that had been repaired. Not thread bashing, these are awesome cars just wondering

Every recall letter my mother got from Nissan, she went in and had them address, although it is important to note I feel, that it never NEEDED any of it. I’m sure you’ll be able to find this in Nissan’s computer system.

great cars. i owned one for 3 and a half years and it was fantastic to me. lots of potential fun in a cheap package. i already miss mine, only been gone 2 weeks today.

GLWS, bump for a nice guy too.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. They are def. fun cars, we will miss it…

GLWS Joe…!

I have seen this car quite a few times…Initially, I was suprised to find out that it is a 2003. Looks MINT.

What Dekar is getting at is the early Spec’s had the precat too close to the engine so the internals would get too hot, break up, and get sucked into the engine. There was a factory recall for this, though I don’t remember if it extended beyond the 2002’s. Either way it’s safe to say it either didn’t need it or had it fixed.

I rode in this car a week ago. It’s as clean as you’d expect from 91MR2.

I know about it Fry, but yeah like I said, 9 years later, it hasn’t happened, so I don’t think it will be an issue. Furthermore, I don’t think this one was early enough to suffer from that, as hers is a later '03 (we didn’t get a recall letter for this).

Otherwise, thanks guys.

Buy this one Tartar!!!

Got a member showing tonight…

SOLD.

Oh, and thanks Dekar12 for asking all those ?'s, potentially ruining the FS ad, and then never even following up with anything after that. Classy.

6 days to sell , nice.

I didn’t realize that asking common questions about very common issues that are all over the Internet about these cars would ruin your ad.
Also, I was interested in the car (almost bought the 2006 blue one that was for sale last month but someone came to look at it before me) but then thought about it some more and I just wasn’t into the color enough.

I see you sold it, so congrats and sorry about ruining your FS thread.

Thats cool… wonder if i should sell my moms :stuck_out_tongue: except my moms did get a header and the butterfly’s lock-tited because I’m paranoid. but other then that theses are very solid cars my moms done 1 wheel bearing other then that its never needed work.
