08 CAMARO IS ON!!!!

GM won’t put the LS7 into a 35,000 dollar car when it would undermine $85,000 Z06 sales.

more importantly, GM wont make the SS the top model any more, if we are lucky. Any car can be an SS, only a camaro can be a Z/28

Obviously the LS2 or next available variation is a given for the car. There has been soem talk of a base model/top model V8 as well, it worked incredibly well for the 3rd gens, as most people wanted a V8 sound and feel without having the fastest/most expensive offering. And Bob Lutz has already made a comment about an LS7 level car, saying that they ‘have anohter 100+hp available and proven in case the other companies want to get into a power war,’. So while all of the bells and whistles of the LS7 may not be available (dry sump oil, titanium rods, sodium filled valves), there is no reason why the 365cfm cylinder heads couldnt be included later

im not a fan of it

eat shit and die asshole!!! no seriously though. i will kill u.

old school, rs/ss > all (why? appearance + performance)
2nd gen, all = suck
3rd gen, notice there are no SS’s
4th gen, SS > all (why? appearance + performance)

Hmm lets see

1st gen. rs/ss was popular but Z/28 was one of the fastest and most purpose built

2nd gen. SS canceled in 72, sales increase and camaro sells millions with top car being Z28

3rd gen. no SS offered, camaro sells millions with top car being IROC-Z28

4th gen. Camaro selling well with Z28 as top model. SS reintroduced mid cycle, sales plummet and car is canceled after 35 years and 4.5 million sales.

 clearly a trend…er not really but my argument is still right
