as much as i would like to take you up on your offer… I can assure you that i probably wouldn’t like the band… sorry… i really hate this entire genre of heavy, relatively slow alt rock. You are a decent drummer, but there are SO MANY bands that have a very similar sound… (i listened to a whole bunch of songs on the displaced website)
I am not doing anything revolutionary by any means… though i do have a damn good idea for an original sound… just can’t seem to find anyone interested… most people don’t like fast, high pitched screaming… i do though… anyway, GL, with the show. I don’t like playing showplace for a multitude of reasons… the stupid fucking light show, high & non-intamate stage and shitty sound come to mind…
Yeah, we’re bringing in our own light person, and have Mike H. from I.D.T. watching over the board for us. I’m not in love with Showplace, but we have a lot of people coming to the show, so it’s the only venue that would hold it short of renting a larger place, which sucks.
Anyhow, to each their own. You’re right, I’m not a fan of screamo, but can appreciate it for what it is. The offer stands if you change your mind.
If no one has anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. Sounds like it would be a fun time, I will not be able to attend and I would for the sheer enjoyment of watching jeff get belligerant (sp?) lol
I thought Displaced put on a good show. They sounded good and everybody was commenting on the fact they sounded great w/ my sis as the drummer so :tup:
