based on the second viral site launched for this movie,
it deals with a drink with ingredients gathered from the bottom of the ocean.
the site gives hints to what could cause the incident, either a. drinking too much of said drink and having mutated genes, sounds like rampage to me, or b. the monster is under water and while digging they stumble upon said monster…
people also say the “inside name is the parasite” abrams has not confirmed that info, and theparasite.com or parasitemovie.com is a fake, its a promo for a message board.
right now the only two sites that are linked to this movie are 01-18-08.com and slusho.jp. abrams confirmed these two and said there are more out there, they just haven’t been found yet.
theories are all over the place on what this could be about. some people say voltron, but i dont think the budget is there to make voltron… plus why woud he destroy NYC? who knows… its all speculation right now anyway.
comic-con is coming and JJ is going to announce the name and i guess there is supposed to be a full trailer release.

im gonna try to frind the video i saw on youtube that was an interview with J.J. Abrams. And i think it is an alien movie kuz in the interview he mentioned war of the worlds a bunch of times. He said the movie wasnt finished the way the director and tom cruise wanted it to. I guess they were fighting the whole time or somthin so he was saying he might wanna do a perfected version of war of the worlds. Ill try to find the interview
