1.8t's MKIV poop

yeah i know i need a new intake and exhaust manifold, a fuel management system and bigger injectors and a more accomidating fuel rail. i just kind of forgot about that when i updated but thats not going to be for a while, and i might sell them when i get new wheels but im also debating getting them cleaned up and keeping them for winter tires or for slicks since they were mad nice at one point plus they look good in the summer when i really clean them and make them look nice

its going to take a lotttttt to make look oem and nice again you have to take the rims completly apart to get em all nice again. thats the only flaw on those bbis rims, they corrode. for winter, i use steelies and it gets the job done and looks pretty good too.

:lol steelies look good :crackup, why do you want the bbs anyways? im not sure what they weigh but im guessing they are pretty light. They look great if youre like 10-15+ft away but once you get close you realize they are pretty beat

steelies on hubcaps actually look good. vw and audi probably make the best looking hubcap and steel wheel combos evar

Yeah i must say pete’s hubcaps don’t look half bad on his car right now.

Or you can get a serious set of BBS wheels and go with a set of BBS RS wheels with kodiak lips on them!

when i go about a bigger turbo (gt28) what size injectors should I use?

worry about what chip to get first. 200ish whp will be alot. trust me. seriously.

a chip will put u in a really good place :lol i think with the apr chip you will go from 160 or 170 to 220 230 and you will be very happy . its the best way to do somthing to your car with out taking a chance of screwing it up.

i know this isnt like an all at once done in 2months kind of build im hoping to have everything-big turbo setup by the spring, im gonna see how i like it there (im sure i’ll love it) im gonna run it a few times and then piece that turbo kit together because i want to do it right and theres alot of things involved in that so its gonna take time, plus i want to get a few cosmetic mods for the summer like new wheels and a new hood. i figure that plus the chip and full exhaust and the fmic will make my car pretty fast and it will look great at the same time.

all this by spring :wow can i come stand under that $$ tree $$ you have :lol

for spring: chip, rims, hood, smoke the tails ;D…then over the summer fmic, big turbo, exhaust :nod

for spring: $600 chip, $1000 rims, $400 hood with paint low balling, $200 smoke the tails …then over the summer $2000 fmic with pipe, big turbo kit $3000, $600 exhaust . i might be off a little but not by much .

try asking my pops for a favor and painting your hood, 150$, $600 chip, smoke the stock tails yourself with spray tint ($20 maybe?) and then rims…then worry about the expensive big turbo set up over the summer :nod

for me and if i have friends that need a part or 2 painted he’d do it, and plus mark bought the car from my dad so my dad would most likely help him out

that works, i was gonna get black glass paint for the lights, the rims are pretty expensive but im tryin to find a deal and ive come across quite a few i found some 18in audi wheels that look sick with the 5x100 lug pattern with tires for $450 if your dad helped me with the paint that would save me a huge amount of money that would be sick

the chip is $520, downpipe is less than 300 if i get ones of vwvortex used then im piecing together my own exhaust with a borla or magnaflow muffler, or find a cheap 2.5in catback, and like i posted above im either gonna spray tint them or find blacked out oem style lights on ebay for cheap they are there all he time, a fmic is only like $300-400 if you know where to look plus you can get pre made pipes for $150 if you know where to look. the turbo itself is about $1,000 new manifold is $300-400. im not sure on injectors but im sure i can get that for less than $500, a fuel pump is probaly about that so you were right about the big turbo expense which wont be for a while, like end of summer, hopefully sooner. so the basic supporting mods come in first, then big turbo with lower boost, then cams, pistons ect. then high boost then more tuning, then probably more tuning but by next summer when everything including the built motor and the big turbo is done i should have some decent #'s

Yeah if you want to do them lights soon, let me know i’ll meet you at the shop and we’ll do them there and if you get the exhaust soon or whenever you get it just give me a heads up and we can use the lift at the shop as well to put it on. Same with the rims and tires, if you buy rims and tires my dads got a tire machine and balancer so again let me know he’ll hook you up. As for the hood, the only thing he asks is for you to buy the paint and clear and he’ll do the work.
