hahahahaha at these will smoke any home audio…YOUR WRONG

You will be HARD pressed to find a theater system that will be as clean as a reference monitor. So unless someone has reference equiptment in thier living room, Yes recording monitors will be ALOT cleaner than a home theater.

loud =/= clean

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_monitor incase you still think that your cool with your volume knob.

hmm… willing to possibly part out the sub? i already have 4 monitors hooked up in my studio lol

Yes, id actually be happier to sell just the sub and keep the monitors, I dont do any mastering of instrumentals.

hmm might have to grab that off you… they go for about $270-300 new now, whats the best you can do for it?

I pmed you.

I guess this is why most HT setups all contain 400.00 monitors huh. these may be good for recording studios, but for HT theres a bout 10494983959393 speakers that will produce cleaner sound, shit my b&w speakers would sound better.

Im defending reference monitors, not a specific brand, and Yes there is a reason HiFi speakers arent used in the studio, because they manipulate sound, so its not pure (read as clean), so if one mastered an audio track on a home theater system, it would sound terrible on other systems.

You really gotta do some research before you go on search and attempt to destroy in the classifieds.

Reference monitors are for perfectly flat 20-20 response. If typical home theatre speakers were better than reference monitors, people would be using them in their studio instead. Home theatre speakers are for volume.

ugh, nm i must of read this wrong, i thought u were referring to these sounding better in a HT application.

which they would not.
