One of the car rags did this too but they had much faster cars than those. The stock Saleen S7 hit 205MPH, and it came in 2nd for trap speed…
They also brought a Champ car (the Rocketsports DHL car), a Trans-Am racer (Paul Gentillozzi’s Rocketsports Jag), and a Grand-Am racer. The champ car had the best ET, but top speed was seriously aerodynamically limited. I want to say that the Hennesey Viper was the fastest top speed at something like 211MPH, and the second lowest ET…
R&T was the mag in question - they also dragged the champ vs. an F/A-18 hornet, champ took it in the 1/4.
Once I get tires I’m going to top mine out somewhere… then stick my head out the window.
Hmmm, would that produce downforce, lift, or what? Maybe it would depend on how your head was turned? Please let us know, if you still can talk 
I once was screwing sround and stuck my hand out the window at a bit over 100, quite a lot of force from air moving that fast. I can understand how a tornado does so much damage. BTW: a hand, turned edge on and cupped produces lift.
i’ve done the hand thing @ about 130… and it was sweet… the windnoise in the cabin is crazy at those speeds too… when the windows are closed all you hear is the wind over my driverside mirror cause its screwey
