A new diff helped I’ve only been telling him that since last year…

pics to come tomorrow

Fast run, I love how his reaction time was messured in minutes.

rt is really super important at a test and tune…

thanks for the vid gary. can you get the others for me as well??? especially the botched run with the 3rd gear john force burnout. Id like to study them.

theyre going up now…

another just uploaded

thats awesome:headbang:

how much better was the car 60footing and such form before, Looks great in the 1st vid so far up.

 JD…told ya it would happen!

His 60 went way down when he actually got the tires hot enough with john force burn out and lower tire pressure a high 1.6 but second gear synchros don’t like him all the time… so it was shit run.

All vids are now up, I just have to put up the one or two pics I took as well that will be tomorrow.

all vids up just got to put up the one or two pics i took as well that will be tomorrow.

60fts were all garbage. My tranny is shot. I was afraid i wasnt gunna make it home. The car will not let me fast shift into 2nd and when i try theres nothing there. Kinda pisses me off cause i know with a decent 60ft i coulda been good into the 10’s. Oh well new tranny and next year.

Nice work John. That second slip must make you shake your head.
10.9 at 135 to a 9.9 at 136, with almost all the difference in the first 1/8 mile.

The good thing is you know where the time is…traction and getting through the gears. Of course that makes it sound so easy. lol

I don’t ever see that car cutting a 1.4

 good times nice to see you run well and not snapping axles…What was the fix for that?

i have one question… you might run 10`s now but can you catch salmon???

35 mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4  thats moving!

congrats john!

sourced another tranny. should be here wednesday. Maybe i will get one last shot before the year is out.

Oh, and yes unless a back half+tub my car will probably never see anything under a 1.5 60ft.

So far the fix for axle breakage was reinforcing the diff mounts by welding a bump stop right above the nose of the diff on the subframe. Also i cryotreated my axles and decided to run hoosier quick time slicks instead of the mickey thompson axle breakers. I also reinforced the center support bearing as well with polyeurothane.

I have been to the track 3 times now and have not broken an axle. Just trannys.:frowning:

Im not sure how i feel about the 3.15 lsd. My 1/8 mi used to be 105ish with the 3.91 and is now only 101ish. The problem with the 3.91lsd was i couldnt possibly shift my tranny fast enough to take full advantage.

I think both diffs have there pros and cons.

nice jonny

John I swear your first 2 pass had normal 1/8th times and traps… You’ll see on the new trans when you can connect a 1-2 shift. But you don’t want to be on any other diff if you want 10’s buddy.

nice johnny
