if you dont know the story, dont speculate. let the past, be the past.
ive met eddie, hes a good guy, builds top notch machines, and drives them. as ive said on here before, i met him in orlando at war of the imports, where he drove the car from NYC to orlando to run it, and drove it home.
ive got a picture of the door of the car, signed by him with some lamin-x covering it… pretty cool.
MOUNT VERNON: STOLEN PORSCHE RING – A race car driver was among three Mount Vernon businessmen arrested over the weekend on charges related to auto theft, the Westchester County district attorney’s office said yesterday. District Attorney Jeanine F. Pirro said Eddie Bello, 35, a drag racer of Porsches, stocked Porsche engine parts with defaced vehicle identification numbers at his auto body shop, while two other repair shop owners had parts and entire cars – including Porsches – that appeared to be stolen. possession of a couple porsche engines/tranmissions and some lexus/mercedes parts all with scratched VINs… honda guys do it all the time, just its an easier marque to hide than higher end luxury/sports cars… so he got caught, every dog has his day
It’s a Porsche with a built G50/52 that’s holding twice it’s rated torque capacity for ~220mph runs at events like the Texas Mile. It’s not a drag transmission by any means and is not geared as such.
I posted about this car awhile back. Eddie is cool shit, far nicer than most other “big name” tuners I’ve met. Really knows his shit when it comes to the old M series aircooled motors.
That car is nuts and that Eddie Bello guy is somewhat of a legend, for both good and bad reasons. There was a huge discussion about his arrest on Honda-Tech… seems like a wrong people/ wrong place/ wrong time kinda thing.
UM Yeah that thing is Insane especially how the MPH kept on Rasing after every run and that with the clutch spinning
When he gets better clucth it should be in the low 9s
