Broke into the 13’s with my 98 ACR Neon… 13.80 @ 99.7 at PRP. Finally!!! Backed it
up on the very next run with an identical time. Mod list includes a stock 2.0L block w/
a self ported and polished head/decked 0.40", 2.7L rockers, Blackdog 1-7/8" long tube
header, 2.5" exhaust, Indy Intake!! (extensively PnP’d), 60mm MPx TB, 3/4 Race
Crower Cams, Crower Springs, MPx UDP, MP ECU, APEXI S-AFCII, AEM Cam Gears,
Mount inserts, Booger Bobble, Fidanza flywheel w/ PT clutch, and 24.5" x 8" x 15" slicks…
Lots a tuning, All work done by me.
A 1.97 sec 60’ on 24.5" slicks? Seems like you either don’t have enough power down low to get those things tires moving or enough seat time to use them very well. Either way sounds like there is still a few tenths to be had in that set-up at least.
~170whp 140wtq. car weighs ~2300lbs. The slick are bit big for N/A and intended from my turbo car. I do need more seat time. I make bout 5 to 6 passes a year. I need to launch above 7000rpm. It’s ~6200 now but I drive to the track and thats axle breaking territory.
