well since jeff and a couple others pointed it out, i havent posted here since the site was redone. lol.
anyways, im from the Elizabeth area… which is about 30 minutes from downtown.
my cars:
1998 dodge neon r/t.
crane #18 cams (drag grind, but they really should be called “big street cams”)
ported and polished head
custom box style intake manifold (being build as we speak)
mopar performance ecu
pt valvetrain
aem adjustable cam gears
mpx udp
mpx 60mm throttle body
phatridz long tube header
random tech bullet cat
obx dual bazooka muffler (exiting drivers side… had last 90 degree cut off the exhaust)
2.5" dynomax exhaust piping
apexi s-afc
booger solid bobble strut, afx solid front mount, deyeme racing “firm” side mounts
falken azenis
custom battery tray to hold wal-mart tractor battery
diamond clear headlights and front turns, clear corners
1991 eagle talon tsi. awd, automatic!
only mod- k&n air filter
the best ive done in the peon to date is 14.702… and i was getting either wheelhop or wheelspin that time, cant remember which. it was dynod (before the 60mm tb and custom intake manifold) at 165.5 whp on a dyno dynamics dyno (at mobile dyno motorsports in greensburg)
yeah, we do need to meet up again… definately wanna see the probe!
i should be running low 14s/high 13s actually… ive gotta wheelhop problem that should be getting solved soon (i hope at least)
sure i coulda put the money into the '79 trans am i used to have (olds 403 motor) and ran faster times, but the car was a POS otherwise  eh, mainly i justed wanted to toy with a peon… always have since i saw the concept.
but, i spent less on my 14.7 than some people have on their mid to high 15s so i cant complain TOO much
(sorry the reply took a while guys, i was down in FL for vacation)
i gotta get the wheelhop issue solved before ever thinkin about slicks. quite a few people on stock axles run slicks and no breaking… then again ive seen people with stock neons snap axles. at any rate, i pray every single time i launch the car regardless lol
oh, i might be up at SP too to pick up that a/c line for my talon… if yer there ill keep a lookout
the peon still isnt drivable… my custom intake manifold i had for it, cracked on me and ive been waiting on a replacement since… and the new one should have been finished last night and should be sent out today… i hope so, cuz i need it on the car in less than 2 weeks!
ill try to get you the phone # and address soon for it
it was $100 an hour… has wideband (tho i dont know how much i trust their wideband to be completely honest)
they were ok to deal with… even tho they let me run it back-to-back without much/any cooling between runs… bout the longest it sat between runs was when i was adjusting the fuel or changing the cam timing… which wasnt long.
