i dont see a thermostat anywhere on this

^^^ why? does it need a thermostat? fill me in…

^^ same boat. i wasnt aware of this either. the greddy kit says nothn about a thermostat either…

looks like i gotta get this to top off my boso stylez. haha

You dont at all need a themostat, most kits dont come with them. It just makes the system more efficient.

So you know…, the thermostat is in the sandwich adapter…

ahhh, so anyways. is anyone actually rockin one of these? lol

what do u think of it?

I would use it on my own car man i dont see a prob…get it

Naw not on this kit. The greddy kits I believe have a thermostat in the sandwhich plate, but most dont have one. It is a good idea to run a thermostat though, especially if this is soley a street car.

haymakr contact the ebay seller let them know ur interested in this product and ask them whether this sandwich adapter got the thermostat builtin if you care lol.

the thermostat is only good for winter so that the oil gets up to working temp quicker just like the coolant thermostat…

All year round theres a chance that the cooler may over-cool the oil and keep it thick, not just in the winter.

OVERCOOL?

Yea, as in keeping it below operating temp.
They also let the oil get up to temperature faster, reducing wear on the engine.

That kit actually looks pretty damn solid. Then again…

When it comes to important stuff you do NOT want/need failing…I spend the money the first time.

My $0.02

And yes…oil temp is critical. Buy an OT Gauge. If it’s to cool. get a thermostat for it.
Oil temp gauges are just as important as oil pressure, to me.

yea, it would be on a strickly may - sept/oct car

I am looking at Kits from B&M …anyone have these ? pretty good priceing too

get the setrab oil coolers best one to use… if it works for nascar it works for me…

anything and everything ull need to know
do some research u lazy fuk…

I have an oil cooler kit with oil filter relocation on my car. I pieced together the kit myself with parts from Summit Racing. The core is B&M. The lines are Russel SS and the fittings are Russel AN. The block adapter and oil filter adapter are Summit Racing products as well. I don’t have a thermostat on the oil cooler either. I have two shitty pics here.

  • you can kind of see the cooler core on the left side of the car in front of the AC condenser

I followed this guide for the setup:

greddy thermostat is in the sandwich.

i was thinking abotu that kit  u wanna try it out first and let me know?
ud want a oil thermostat so that u can warm up ur car at startup and also not to overcool. unless ur a track only car
