1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Sedan

Up for sale is a 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Sedan with no engine or transmission. I do have the trim/taillights but they are off the car right now. It was going to be a project but I have lost my storage space for it and am now forced to sell it. If someone wanted to and had the time you can easily part this out, clean up the parts and make 3x as much money or take your time and make a killer rat rod . I would hate to scrap the car, so im hoping someone can make use of this old beauty. PRICED TO SELL

wish I had storage space. Price is right

Gentlemanz- Doooo it. The body lines of this car are simply stunning. At this price you legit cant go wrong… I have spent more on a nice dinner than what im asking!

Also for the car history nerds like me, this car actually lived mostly all its life in depew NY! I got it off the 3rd owner a couple blocks down from my house.

My friend’s brother has one in yellow, same year, it’s a really cool car. GLWS, hope someone saves it!

how bad is the rust on it? I see the lower portions have some, but what about trunk, floor, window seals, doors, roof, etc?

Solid enough for me to save it, if it was total junk I would have scrapped it

SOLD

Someone else got it, or is this my “I can only buy it after next weekend”? I’m cool if you had a different buyer…

Ya a guy came with $400 and a trailer…had to get it out. sorry

In the long run it saves me a bunch of work, so probably for the best. For the record I was going to cut off all the body panels and attach them to our 240SX, I had a really good plan on lining up all the body lines, relocating wheel arches, and getting it to match the wheel base… but like I said, save me a bunch of work.

I basically wanted to do this, but keep the hood and grill horizontal and large. I would have had to take ~6" off of the bottom of the doors to get the height, and turned into a coupe to keep that nice arch around the rear wheel.

The nose is too slanted, and they did nothing on the rear on the red car:

I was wondering where you were going with that

haha would have been neat, If i come across something like this again (which i will) Ill def keep you in mind!
