Just seeing if there might be some interest out there - I just got this truck from my father and it doesn’t really suit my DD needs… It runs great but I need something more family friendly! Its a regular cab 2 wd truck with the 8ft box. Its a 305 with Auto trans… runs great but needs a carb adjustment (?) as it does act up once in awhile. This has only 58,XXX original miles - 1st owner was family friend and parked it in garage back in 1992 because of his health. My dad got the truck a few years back and because of his failing vision issues - it sat some more! I don’t need to get rid of it but as stated, its not family friendly. Plus if I keep it for too long, I’ll end up slamming this thing to the weeds and other fun twist.
good:
solid truck - just passed inspection 3 weeks ago
new tires - 3 weeks old
most rubber parts replaced (from sitting around - hoses, belts, etc)
brakes good - less than 1000 mile on them
newer radiator (3 yrs)
its an original time piece of '80s truckin!
have cab for the bed if interested (just aluminium old school style)
bad:
some rust - passenger rocker is the worst (its 30 yrs old)
could use tune up (I have plugs, wire, etc - just have to install)
its almost original everything, so suspension, exhaust, paint, and other issues exist - but this is where one could have fun with the parts available out there for this truck - its a solid start or just fun truck to run around in it!
