Well, its time.
Over the past year i have dumped alot of money into this truck, and now it needs new balljoints. Im sick of dumping money into it, and im picking up a new colorado on monday.
Specs-
1988 GMC S15 Jimmy Gypsy
2.8L Auto 4x4.
Factory heavy duty off road package which includes.
4:11 Front and rear gear ratios
factory locking rear end
complete set of factory aluminum skid plates
factory bilstein shocks
Power windows, door locks
factory pop up sunroof
The good-
All the electronics work (both windows, both locks)
Fresh rebuild on tranny less than 10k ago (by previous owner)
newer engine (70k out of a camaro, now 80k, but with all new gaskets
just replaced the headliner, and fixed the leaky sunroof
whole new front end (Pitman arm, idler arm, and four tie rods)
new brakes all the way around.
Just put good Mud and snows on it with about 5/16 in of tread.
front pushbar with hella 500 offroad lights
custom mounted Unity P71 Spot light
Manual (switch) hayden electric fan (i also have the controller for it)
The bad.
Needs ball joint work and a good alignment.
Leaks oil. Doesn’t burn a drop, but leaks out of the valve covers and the rear main ( common problem, just keep an eye on the oil and add more when needed)
exhaust leak, by exhaust mani to y pipe flange, just need new gasket.
bad tranny mount (brand new one in truck, just never installed)
some rust, not alot of rot, but some rust. few spots have bondo, but its not to bad to fix the whole thing up and make it look good again.
Its really clean for its age. was previously an undercoated southern truck, so there is 0 rot underneath. surprisingly clean
all i ask is that someone take this off my hands and put some and money into this. its a dynamite truck. I went out offroading with bald mud and snows and the 4:11s with the locker make this thing unstoppable
Located in zip code 14011
Asking 900.00 or best offer.
A little more money and work and this thing would be an unstoppable mud machine
pics will be up tomorrow
