possibly selling this. 1988 vw cabrio. mint body, runs excellent, auto trans, mint top, alpine cd player, 5000 obo as is. you willl not be disapointed with this car, drove it this weekend, does 130 on the highway with ease. not sure if i want to sell it, but for the right offer, i will. steel blue, with dark blue top, light blue and black interior. pics to come soon. amazing on gas. factory alum rims. euro style grille with the 4 round lights. roll bar, ect. this is a karmann edition cabrio.

is that for real?

$5000 for a little economy car with 260k on it?

i mean yeah it sounds nice but is that really what cabrios are worth? i knew they were a niche car but i didn’t think they’d be that over-priced.

i’m not criticizing you in any way though. it’s your car to sell so you make the price.

there is one in the trader for 4000 as is at a lot. this one has a bunch of new parts on it, so if i’m off, so be it, i guess if you found something cheaper in the same shape, you could buy that, or make an offer accordingly, right?

Sounds like a cool little car. If you cert & etest it you will get alot more interest.

can safety and e test, not a problem. i am going to drive it in my name, all that done. it needs seats in the front, which i am doing, and it looks like the power steering rack is gonna get changed. all that will be included in the price, or best offer as is where is.

dude you are not off on your price,I have one and have been offer 4500 for it but it is not for sale.Also they are in about the same shape and mileage.Nowadays is hard to even find one of these that are decent.Good luck with the sale.
