Long story short, getting married. It’s a 95 Nissan 240SX which currently has a V8 swap done. I would like to sell everything not involved with the swap, which includes:
1995 240SX Shell
repainted roughly 2000 miles ago
kouki spoiler on SR20DET Trunk
Navan front bumper and rear valences
Kouki side skirts (not attached, previous owner had navan side skirts)
FULL Polyurethane suspension bushing replacement (EVERY bushing is polyurethane with grease zerks)
I also have a large amount of spare parts which I would be willing to give away with the sale.
The “Bad”
Chassis transmission mount has been modified to accept chevy transmission, would need to be changed for original transmission.
Interior had been removed for the V8 install, but is complete and included with the sale.
Rear bumper is black, front vent between headlights is red, gas fill cover is black
The car currently has a clean title, and can be driven if absolutely necessary. The registration and inspection have expired. Car will currently not pass inspection due to reverse lights not being hooked up.
If someone would like to buy the project car as is, here are the specifics to the V8 swap
2005 5.3L Aluminum V8 from a Chevrolet Silverado with roughly 60k miles
2005 4L60E Automatic Transmission with roughly 25k miles
4" Aluminum intake
All stainless, true dual exhaust. Stainless long tube headers flow through V-Bands to magnaflow x-pipe muffler to dual muffler rear exhaust
modified crossmember
PCM has been edited by New Era Performance and can have changes made for $50 (remove error codes, larger/smaller tires, etc)
Overall, I’m asking $2500 OBO for the shell, and $5000 for everything listed in this ad.
Shell was an auto car which the previous owner converted to manual, which I then converted back to auto. I believe I still have a master/slave cylinder for a nissan transmission, but no manual pedal.
Was initially looking to hold onto the motor/trans for another swap down the road when I wrote the ad (easier to move an engine/trans than a car), but more and more I’d just like to sell the project as a whole.
Someone asked for interior pics, figured I’d post them here as well. As you can see in the pics, the wiring is nearly complete (reverse lights, cruise control, brake light switch for trans all still need to be hooked up) but needs to be cleaned up.
I did drive this car in this condition roughly 1000 miles last year and the year before, but this year it’s just sat in the garage. I’ve been taking it around the block, but it does not have an up to date inspection or registration.
Thanks, I had a lot of fun doing it. I’d love to finish the car but like I said, priorities.
As far as the 15mpg issue, no. I still don’t have the brake light switch hooked up as I stated above, which would cause the torque converter to never lock up. While this doesn’t hurt anything, it would hurt cruising fuel economy.
