1998 GMC Jimmy - Southern Truck w/no rust - Needs heater core

I’m not sure if this will get any interest here, but I figure someone might like it for a solid winter beater/parts hauler. I have my 1998 Jimmy SLS that I’ve been daily driving since October-ish of last year. I bought this truck in NC right before I got out of the military and have put a lot of time into it to make it a reliable daily, which it has been until this week. Unfortunately due to the solid amount of extreme cold we had it seems as though the heater core froze which in turn makes me assume it has cracked as well. I already have another project car and I don’t have the patience to take the time to fix this vehicle as well. I would love to fix it and keep it, but I’m planning on signing on a new car this week so this one has to go. Enough rambling, time for details/pics

UPDATE (3/7/16) - I took some time and looked into things, looks like the heater core escaped unscathed…I took the truck for a ride through the neighborhood and it had good heat and didn’t overheat. I think it needs a solid coolant flush and could honestly probably use intake gaskets at this point.

This is most certainly the cleanest Jimmy in the area. Alex has done a ton of work and it will last the newest owner years to come. GLWS ya chooch.

wow, THE cleanest s10/blazer based platform ive seen in a LONG time…

price on the rims with the hankooks ?

Looks like a really good deal.

I appreciate that! I’d be looking for $500 for the wheels with the Hankook’s. They have roughly 1500 miles on them.

Amazing to see what a car that does not live in this type of climate can look like…

I appreciate the positive feedback on the truck! It really is amazing how much of a difference it makes being from down south.

Also, Interior pictures added.

Small update for 3/7/16 (reflected in thread) - I took some time and looked into things, looks like the heater core escaped unscathed…I re-filled the cooling system and took the truck for a ride through the neighborhood; it had good heat and didn’t overheat. I think it needs a solid coolant flush and could honestly probably use intake gaskets at this point. If the truck doesn’t sell by the time the weather gets warm then I will go ahead and get these things done and the price will remain firm, until then I am obviously willing to negotiate.
