I’m not sure if this will get any interest here, but I figure someone might like it for a solid winter beater/parts hauler. I have my 1998 Jimmy SLS that I’ve been daily driving since October-ish of last year. I bought this truck in NC right before I got out of the military and have put a lot of time into it to make it a reliable daily, which it has been until this week. Unfortunately due to the solid amount of extreme cold we had it seems as though the heater core froze which in turn makes me assume it has cracked as well. I already have another project car and I don’t have the patience to take the time to fix this vehicle as well. I would love to fix it and keep it, but I’m planning on signing on a new car this week so this one has to go. Enough rambling, time for details/pics
UPDATE (3/7/16) - I took some time and looked into things, looks like the heater core escaped unscathed…I took the truck for a ride through the neighborhood and it had good heat and didn’t overheat. I think it needs a solid coolant flush and could honestly probably use intake gaskets at this point.
