I am selling my 1998 Honda Accord because I am moving and no longer need it. It has been a great car and has many more miles left in it! The car runs very well, and was just inspected in March of this year. The car just had a brand new gas tank and fuel lines installed (large repair) and has always had regular oil changes and maintenance. The interior is very clean and was not smoked in when I owned it.

Kelly Blue Book values this car at $3820 in FAIR condition, however I have had a $600 Viper remote start, keyless entry, alarm system installed recently. I do need to sell this car ASAP so ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!!
WHY I’M LISTING IT AS FAIR CONDITION:
Kelly Blue Book defines a FAIR condition car as:
“This car has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing, but is still in safe running condition and has a clean title history. The paint, body and/or interior may need professional servicing. The tires may need replacing and there may be some repairable rust damage.”
The SRS Airbag light stays on however I was told this is a problem with the dashboard and not the airbag itself. It has always passed inspection with this light on. Also, the temperature gauge always goes up to Hot shortly after the car starts. Again this is a problem with the dashboard. This car was in a slight front “fender bender” 2 years ago. The right front bumper cover is dented and the Honda Emblem fell off and was lost. If you wanted, this could be fixed relatively easily by purchasing a new front bumper cover and repainting it or finding one in a junkyard. Easily it is a $100 to $200 job if done youself and a collision center would likely charge more (last estimate I received was $500-$700). Also, the steering on the car has always been a little tight and whines a little bit but my mechanic has never thought it was an issue. The power steering system did develop a leak 2 years ago but that has been fixed. There is some light scratches that could be fixed easily with touchup paint but overall the exterior it is still very glossy. There is one large scrape on the right rear door. This could be fixed by sanding and repainting and would be relatively cheap to do. There is also some very light rust on the passenger door, but it is nothing major and not viewable when the door is closed. The tires are about 3 years old and still have significant tread left however they may need replacing soon as one tire has a VERY slight leak. The passenger door lock sticks as well which is an easy fix. The front two speakers do not work/have been disconnected since I owned it but I never attempted to fix. Finally the steering column was torn off when my car was broken into (before the alarm was installed) but this does not affect the operation of the car in any way. This ad will be up as long as the car is available.
