Well…the Dx has navigation also but the biggest difference between the Dx and the Zx is the Zx has a built in hard drive that it rips your audio CD’s onto. You can’t rip MP3 CD’s or DVD’s (I ended up burning 50 CD’s to migrate all of my music over to the hard drive), but you can listen to them. Another difference is 3D landmarks in the navigation. If you go to NYC, you’ll see pictures of the Empire State Building, etc. There are many small differences…where the Dx wins over the Zx and vice versus.

If I were you and getting the D-series…I’d get a D3 or a F700-BT (F-series has replaced the D-series in June 08). The F-Series is nice, has MSN Direct (gas prices, movies times, etc. right on the screen) but it’s new so it has some bugs.

As for the sound system, I have some Infinity tweeters…brand new never unpacked…that I could sell you for $40. I decided to keep my OEM because the speakers I put in my car had brilliant highs and I needed more low’s than highs.

I’m just south of Albany in Coeymans.

I’ve still got a lot of research to do on the HU, it’ll be the last thing I buy, but that’s some good info, thanks

What are the specs on those tweeters? I’m 99% sure I’ll pick those up off of you, then I’d just need to finish out the amps/sub/component deal and I’d be set… other than the HU :lol

That’s for the VQ35DE engine 2002+. Mines a 99 (VQ30DE). Difference is 95-99 was 3.0L, 2002+ is 3.5L (same engine as G35, Z, etc.)

Works for me. I’ve had them for like 2 months and none of the Maxima guys wanted them so I don’t expect them to be gone. And if someone asks, I’ll tell them dibs were placed until the middle of October.

Yes I have…might get it. However, I’m more into how the car looks as opposed to how much power it has.

Thanks. I love that rail yard, have used it many times for photoshoots.

I got lucky I have a dad who doesn’t settle for half-assed setups. He used my brothers and I for some hard labor to build it, but it paid off in the end lol.

So I got a variable intake from a 2000 Maxima. Will be updating this thread soon once I get all the little kinks worked out and the engine bay cleaned up.

I also got some other small things done such as short ram intake, blue LED interior, etc.
