1999 Subaru Imprezza Wagon, 5 speed, RS swapped, 125k, $3,500 B/O

I’m selling my 1999 Subaru Impreza wagon which has many RS parts swapped…other than brakes (no ABS). The donor car had less miles actually but we’ll go with the ODO of 125k. Color is silver with gray interior. 5 speed manual. Power locks/windows. As with most Suby’s this is a reliable, comfortable yet basic vehicle. It does one thing very well…SNOW!
I LOVE this thing in the winter and I’d be keeping it if I didn’t have a Suby coupe already.
I average about 25MPG in the winter which is real nice considering the gearing and AWD capabilities…and gas about to hit $4 a gallon. 8/

Main parts swapped:

Headlights/grille - 93-95
Hood - 98-01 RS/Outback Sport
Sway bars - Hotchkiss
Engine - came from a 2001 RS that had about ~95,000k (a year ago).
Transmission/rear differential - 4.11 (RS/Legacy GT)
Cat-back Stainless exhaust

Fairly new:
Clutch
Front O2 sensor
Drive belts

New within the last 6 months:

Alternator
Water pump & Timing belt

The good***
Eats snow alive! As any Suby should.
Other than the alternator issue (replaced) she has never failed me.
Clean title and fresh inspection.
Comes with 2 sets of wheels.
Shiny silver paint with minimal rust for a Buffalo car.

Tires will need to be replaced after this season.
There is some rust on the lip of the hood and the quarters have surface rust. It was a DD not a show car so there are a few dings here and there. It is a 12 year old car after all.

NO trades please. If you’re looking for a reliable AWD snow beast this is the one. Functional with all the wagon cargo room yet not boxy or clunky looking. I will miss this ride.

$3500 or B/O

Currently on the road and can be test driven. Wait for a big snowfall though, then come drive it…you will leave with it.

I hate to sell but I’m preparing for the NY State go for broke fire sale. Cuomo and his budget might impact me and I want to be prepared…just in case.

2.5 wagon, awesome!!!

why cant this be a grand cheaper ans more beat up :frowning: cant justify 3500 on a car to romp on every winter

We can probably get people to hammer on it at $5 per swing. Maybe that will net $1k profit and I can lower the price because it’s a bit more beat up. J/K
This has been my DD, that’s what I love about Suby. Great in the winter but reliable and good MPG all year round. No need for a winter beater with a Suby.

Already have several people interested via CL. Should be gone soon I suspect.

It is B/O though I can tell you I won’t take $2.5k. For that price I’d just keep it. I think it’s priced pretty fairly but feel free to make an offer.

I am also pondering selling my other Suby which is not in as clean of shape but would be much cheaper. If I sell both I’ll just buy a turbo Suby. 8)

Pics as promised…

Sorry about the fog on the side. I was sweaty from shoveling the driveway. LOL.

Those rust stains will buff right out after winter.

De-badged. I like this look better.

ODO at idle. I haven’t driven it in a few weeks…started right up and took it around the block a few times. No issues.

This is the worst of the rust. No rot or holes…not bad for a 12 year old buffalo car.

The wheels in the current pics are steelies with caps and snow tires. The original pic I posted shows the summer wheels/tires. Both sets are included…tires are worn as mentioned prior.

SOLD SOLD SOLD.
Please close thread mods.

Thanks for the interest fellas.
