Thats nuts.
There aren’t any older 5 cylinders in the 9’s?
the VR6 is the hot swap in the audi now.it mounts longitudinally, allowing a big turbo on the side, modified intake manifold, where the APB 2.7TT barelly fits in the car and putting a big single on, or bigger twins is harder to do, manifolds are more difficult to make, and quite frankly there is more out there for the VR6’s. this engine was used in USP’s old 9 second mk3 Jetta drag car. all they did was take that engine, put a new intake manifold on it, and get rid of the old T74 for the new 67mm billet turbo, tune and go… and the S4 does it on BFG Radials
fits like a glove.
^makes perfect sense to me. thank you, sir.
so all of the accessories are on the back of the motor?
that kinda sucks, i guess.
no. the “front” is normally the PS on a VW, thats where the Accessory drive is at… engine is a timing chain engine, which is on the tranny side of it… from what ive read removing a VR6 from an Audi is far easier than removing the original S4 engine, so when it comes time for that(100kmi) it shouldnt be an issue
67mm turbo FTW.
:wow
:bowdown
not quite the same though… they made like 740AWHP on the 67mm.
its a precision billet wheeled turbo.
Ya, the PT67mm is capable of 750whp…
(That’s what I meant at least) I <3 mine.
damn. nuff said.
