1st run at the track went extremly bad . . .

So im sure that everyone that was at the track last night was wondering what happend when i was about to run… anyways

… came up to the line and went to warm up my tires and w/in a few seconds of my tires spinning heard a “bang/clunk” from my rearend, felt almost as if i blew out my rearend. So i pulled off and got a closer look at it, looks like i either blew my diff/snapped my axle… well today me and my roommate are jacking it to see the exact damage . . and will post up pics later

just my luck too… had a bad feeling about tonight too!!

saw it go down nick, i was about to video your run… good luck getting things fixed!

thanks bro… maybe next week… wanna run it once this year before i start the build

In the M?

I thought your passenger side axle was like clicking it was so bad…and that was like 2 months ago…

ahhg

I’m guessing you snapped the front diff bolt.

Wait did you drive it home?

its making the sound from the rear passenger side…

flat bed :headbang

you broke an axle, no biggy.

benny call me…

ok so we jacked it up and where the axle is connectiing to the diff is loose … i can move it back and for about a half inch or so… any thoughts?

Pics or ban.

still working on figuring out whats exactly wrong… will post pics later…

We can help if we see what’s wrong exactly.

But sounds like it’s not too bad and you didn’t blow the diff.

Next time you’re going to be at the track, make sure you yell “Granata!” before the burnout.

thanks… should have told me that sooner… im gonna take a few pics ok… might not be the best though… just so you all know bb in 5 min with pics

:crackup :lmao :rofl

yeah fucking hilarious . . . :stfu

:rofl

Where is the play? In the diff flange or the CV joint?

You prob need a new CV joint. Boxersix and I are trying to find a source for JUST the joint. In the meantime, just pick up a new halfshaft.

ok heres some pictures… you can see it comes out of the diff a considerable amount

ouchy

Something’s toasted in there. You’re going to have to pull it apart either way. Might as well start disassembling and replace whats needed. CJ joint or diff output bearing at minimum. I found you a good condition 3.23 too for about $350.

If you can measure the diameter of the end of the cv joint, Boxersix can find us the right joint. It has to be pretty precise and in mm not inched.

If you cant dissamble it and get the diam, measure the circumference and divide by pi = diam.
