Here’s a quick video I found of the dumb Cobalt being beat on.
Don’t worry about the slipping clutch. I didn’t have the no-lift-shift presets programmed correctly, so the engine would be freewheeling at WOT when I would go to re-engage the clutch during shifts. Re-programming the spark cut to work in conjunction with shifts/clutch engagements quickly addressed that issue.:number1 Too bad the OEM clutch can’t handle powershifting with simple bolt-ons, though.
My brother took the video [while we were in Niagara Falls, Ontario] in 1080p HD with a Canon Rebel T1i and 18-55 IS lens.:bowdown So be sure to watch it in HD for the full effect.
Haha. It’s not fast at all. Especially when the temperature rises above 40 degrees or so. It’s probably like 260whp, if that.
bull SHIT!
The WOT box did make it a whole lot more fun to drive, though. I don’t use the launch control but the NLS is fun to use when accelerating on on-ramps and other architectural things of that nature
This summer for sure. There’s a good possibility that I will be living on campus for a summer work/study opportunity, so I wouldn’t mind leaving the car with ya for a weekend while you work on it. :thumbup
The stocker works fine though, until you abuse it, then it says “FUCK YOU” and slips like a dick in and out of a sloppy vagina
i use to pound my car on the daily… multi LVD passes every wed. tons of passes at the “night track”. i’d get 2 hard passes and then be done for an hour until it cooled down… the first 30k saw atleast 100 lunchs… since then i think it’s only been 6 or 7. Needed to get some stuff fixed… but other things are soaking up my money right now.
