2000 Civic Sedan!

Haha, ok, torque monster for a honda. I’ve heard of 160whp/160wtq from an H23 head mated onto a F23 block, using H22 pistons. Same guy put crower stage 2 cams in it and saw 200/180. This is on a non-vtec head. Build it right and you can probly see 220/195 pretty easily.

I saw an EP3 with a K23 swap and made 240/260 bone stock nothing done to it, and Honda doesn’t make 4 cyl torque monsters? ::slight_smile:

wow… one factory boosted honda motor… completly turned my logic right around ::slight_smile:

Honda has only made 3 factory boosted boosted motors in it’s history.

One Jetski
One Motorcycle
One MDX.

And I believe there are about half a dozen of OEM motors that have more TQ then HP or equal.

errr… RDX

anyways, i love your sedan.

:ninja

Thank You.

Havent been around in awhile (been busy w/moving and whatnot. I now reside in Fort Ann). Got a few updates to teh Civic. Added pics to the very first post!

Just a major update. Civic now has no motor in her. I went to change the oilpan gasket, and it wouldnt start, after cracking the pan twice. No compression in cylinders 3 and 4. So, I ripped out the D16, and am working on a B18 LS swap. I picked up a almost complete motor for $50, so all I really need is a hydro B18 tranny. But, with tons of bills, and making barely min. wage, the build is at a stand still. Will keep you guys posted on any progress! Progress pics will be up on the first page!

:wow Sucks to hear.

I had a good laugh flipping through the pictures thought.

:crackup

As far as the valve cover, I’m a fan of the current green but you can’t go wrong with gold.

You’re just going to spray it or powder coat?

Why not go a little crazy?

Ryan, the car keeps getting better and better. I’m starting to get into mil spec wiring, so let me know if you need a harness or tuck or any of that. Also, let me know if you need help with the swap when it comes time. By the way, how’s the wife? Good luck with everything!

Vlad; the valve cover is now actually anodized purple, w/white lettering. Looks really good, IMO. Its just rattle canned, but if I can find someone to powdercoat it the same color for cheap, I’d do it. :thumb

Heres a pic of it. Going to paint the fuel rail gold, to go along w/the whole purple/gold theme. Hoping it’ll look decent.

Lance; Yea man, a harness tuck would be sweet. The motor isnt going in for a long while now, so whenever you get some free time, you should come on up, and we can both go at it. As far as teh wife, shes doing great. 6 months pregnant, due in March. Little boy, naming him Mathew Alan Sady.

Congrats! I’ll hit you up over winter break about heading up there.

Thanks bro! Yea, right now the car is just sitting in teh inlaws driveway, but they let me borrow the garage whenever I need it. I just have to push 'er in. No biggie tho. Whens your winter break, BTW?

I’m done after like the 15th. Hit me up on AIM sometime.

I would, but your never on. Still got the same s/n?

Put up more pics on the first page, BTW guys.

Mmmmm purrrple.

Ever think of shaving the lettering off or is that too detailed for a valve cover for your taste?

I thought about it, but the way this cover is designed, itd be a real pain to shave those off, and make it look good. Eventually, Im gonna pickup a B20 style valve cover, that dosent have the raised/lowered sections. Its all smooth across where the cams are.

lkswhy on AIM now, just messaged you

Update: Pulled the crank, installed new main bearings, all new seals, ect. Just gotta get the pistons in, then I can get the rod bearings put in, and get the rest of the bottom end together. Only need a shift linkage, and the motor can go into the car. Gonna run the Y8 ECU for now, until I can find a decently priced OBD2b LS ECU. Will have pics sometime next week or so when I get it all together.
