link pins and a slave cylinder should cost less than $100 and take a couple hours to do all of it.
$7k is PREMIUM HIGH END for a civic with that mileage, and people don’t like to buy things that haven’t been kept up. I love test driving cars that slip in gear and make a bunch of suspension noise and the person says “it’s super cheap and easy to fix, I just haven’t done it but I want you to pay me the absolute most my car is worth if it were perfect.”
When someone is selling a car that has problems that are cheap and easy to fix but hasn’t done them it looks fishy. Like he is just saying it’s the cheap things and hasn’t fixed them because it might be something much more expensive.
Since one sold on here a while ago for $5k w/ 100k miles, I’ll give him $3500. Completely serious offer.
