2000 Honda Civic LX Sedan

Time to sell the Civic, and move on. Just getting tired of it, and want something new. The frame has 140k on it or so. Exterior paint is Iced Teal Pearl, which only came on the 99-00 LX sedans, so its somewhat of a rare color.

The Good:
Paint is in pretty good condition, and has always been kept up with wax and polish (I used to be a detailer, so I did a good job keeping it up)
Not a spot of rust on the frame (used to be a southern car before I got it back in 2004).
Power windows and power mirrors
Mild wire tuck

The Bad:
Struts are completely blown all around
Rims have been rattle canned, and a few are slightly bent (not enough to feel any vibrations though)
Needs carpet, and the interior was dyed black, and some of it is starting to fade.
Missing rear driver side interior door panel
Could use new headlights, due to the fact that they are somewhat hazed over, and one side is alittle bit pitted. Will still pass any state inspection, though. Does not impede light output!

The motor had been previously overheated, but it does run, and sounds just fine. New seals were put in after the overheating incident, and dosent leak any oil. Blows alittle coolant in the higher RPMs, but its nothing massive.

I just dont want the car anymore, and am tired of putting money into it.

Asking price is $2500 OBO. AS IS.
$2000 I’ll put the stock rims on, no lips, etc.

edit: nevermind

clean car asking alot glws

Really? KBB says a 2000 Civic sedan with 135k on it, in poor condition (which means it needs professional body work, and possibly some rust, etc) is worth $2915. I think $2500 is a fair price. The motor runs, and there is zero rust on the car…

glws mang
def a clean car

what?

love the look of this car good luck with sale!!!

nice car. reminds me of my old civic. only ALOT nicer. GLWS

So when it overheated it damaged nothing? Was the head gasket replaced? Little more info on that if ya could, thanks.

Oh what size are the stock wheels?

GLWS. Love the color. Looks mad clean.

Price is good… CSholtes612 is crazy! LOL

Stock wheels are 14", but they’ll need new rubber. The tires on them are bald as hell. Definately wont pass inspection with them. I didnt have the engine when over heated, my buddy did. He said he got the valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, front main seal replaced, but no head gasket. I just replaced the cam seal last weekend (when I pulled it all apart to replace the seal, everything looked good under the valve cover). It dosent leak any oil, but burns alittle coolant in the higher rpms. Could just be valve seals, though. Honda’s are known for that.

If anyone remembers, the car used to have the B18b1 LS motor in it. I took it out because it was 1)leaking oil and I didnt feel like fcking with it to fix it, and 2) didnt have the correct ECU for it, and didnt want to spend the money on a new one. I got the D16 mini-me in trade for swaping a motor in a buddys car, so I swaped it into my sedan.

So will the car be able to be inspected??

It’ll need a cat to pass inspection for the everyday peson. It dosent have a CEL on for the cat, though. I know a few people who will pass it in its current condition. I just gotta fix the Knock Sensor CEL and its ready for inspection.

With it being cold as fck out, Im waiting for the weekend to do it in the inlaws garage.

Ok cool, thanks for the info!

glws. ps what ecu are you running and what ecu did you have for the old swap?

:Idiots didnt even see the fact that its a 2000 thought it was older

so everyone hop off my nuts:rofl

A 99-00 OBD2b P2T I think it is? The 99-00 Ex ECU. I had the same ECU in it when I had the B18 in. I had an OBD2b P75 ECU, but it has the immobilier on it, and I didnt want to spend $100 to have it removed by a guy on Honda Tech.

Thats a shame… B18C > B18B > D16Y8

Yea, I know. But I had to do what needed to be done to keep the car road legal for NY State. If it would of passed being OBD1, I would of gone that route.

theres always ways around it, look at my car it will NEVER pass inspection
