2002 Camaro SS Turbo

I haven’t posted any updates on here in wayyy too long but here is what i’m currently working on. I’ve had this car for a few years now and it was a completely unmolested car with about 40k miles on it when I got it.

Since then i’ve done a semi custom turbo kit on it. The hotside is a PTK kit (no longer made) with some modification and the cold side is custom built by me and my buddy in my garage. This car is an 02 and came with the LS6 block, it’s a stock bottom end car with ARP hardware. The tranny is an RPM stage 5 with Monster stage 4 clutch and billet flywheel. Rear end is still the original 10 bolt with 3.42’s… it’s next on the list for upgrading this winter. The Turbo is a Turbonetics 7875 running 15psi, Cam is a Tick Performance custom turbo cam, heads are bone stock 241’s with Comp double’s and hardened pushrods and running a Devilsown Meth Kit with dual nozzles.

I do my own tuning and was just able to get the car onto a dyno a few weeks ago for the first time. I was very satisfied with the result as the car made 703whp/619wtq on the first pull after being pulled off the trailer. The best TQ number was 641wtq on the second pull as we rolled into it much harder.

Looks good !

Let us know when you decide to build a car with balls.

Awesome and super clean

so if that was your first run, what did you put down at the end of the day?

Cool shit!

looks great. any build pics or ones that show the turbo setup better?

Super clean  nice photos too

I’m rather surprised you haven’t grenaded the 10 bolt yet. What’s the plan for the rear end?

Thanks for all the kind words!

I didn’t make any changes to the tune on the dyno. The tune was pretty much spot on to where I wanted it, I hit the number I wanted so that was good enough for me

The stock 10 bolt has been holding strong but then again this isn’t a track car, i’m sure a trip to Empire would result in a trailer trip home. I’m not really sure what rear end I want to go with just yet to be honest i’m still weighing the options.

Here’s some pics of the car from a couple winters ago when I was doing the initial build…

Downright sinister.

I just jizzed

Price?

Hp tuners featured this vehicle on Facebook. This car is fantastic

Thanks guys! The plans for this winter are a rear end upgrade, larger injectors, return style fuel system and then a tad more boost. I’m looking to build an iron 6.0 block as well as money and time permits

Looks like a very clean car. Why not throw a set of rods and forged pistons in your stock engine with a quick hone job?

for such a sweet build, you should get a better way to unload the car from the trailer.

Noted… it’s not my trailer I borrowed it from my uncle the day before so we made it work.

Sounds great. Really clean engine bay.
Nice work.
