2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport **GREAT in SNOW!**

I’ve come across a great deal locally and it would mean my daily driver would need to go. It’s a great car, has never given me any problems or anything. I’ve never really been a Ford guy personally, but this car has changed my mind. It’s a very well built car, and will last a long time. The underbody is very clean for its age. The only rust you’ll find, is surface rust, and its on the exhaust system and the drive shaft. Never had a CEL or anything like that. I’ve owned the car since October 2008, at 73,000 miles, meaning I’ve put 50,000 miles since I’ve owned it. It was originally a Maryland/Washington, DC car…owned by a Police Officer (his personal vehicle). Been a great car but it’s time to move on.

2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport (P74)

-4.6L SOHC Modular V8

-Black Ext/Black Leather Interior

-Climate Control/Cruise Control/Radio Controls on the Steering Wheel

-127,*** miles

-Oil changed every 5,000 miles with Motorcraft 5w20 Synthetic Blend

I’ve driven it to Missouri and back, in June of 2009, then to Tennessee the month afterward. It does great on the highway, with 21-22MPG! Not bad for a V8!

It has the LX Sport Package, which gives you

-Stiffer Suspension (very similiar to the Marauder)

-Rear Air Springs

-3.27 Non Locking Rear-end Gearing, same ratio as Police Interceptors (base models get the 2.73)

-Center Console Shift (same as you’d find in a Marauder)

-Black Leather Seats (no rips, good condition)

-17inch 5 spoke Aluminum Wheels, with about half worn 235/55/17 tires. Car will also come with 17’’ steel wheels/center caps installed, with good condition snow tires.

-Tinted windows, Front sides 35%; Rear Sides and back 20%

-Had a transmission flush around 95,000 miles, along with a J-Mod shift kit to the transmission. It now shifts firm and healthy.

-Coolant flush at Dave Smith Ford in late Fall 2008 (I have receipts someplace)

-New Fuel Filter installed 5/27/09

-New Spark Plugs June 2009, before my trip to Missouri.

-New Police Grade Brake Pads/Rotors in all 4 corners in June of 2009, before my trip to Missouri. Had to replace the rears again, due to an inferior quality brake pad failure. Fronts are still in good shape.

-K&N Cold Air Intake System Installed, increased MPG a couple digits). I have the stock air box, will come with the car.

-Granatelli Motorsports “Shark” Upper Intake Plenum, increased MPG a couple digits, and really helped with the doggish Throttle Response the Crown Vic 4.6 is known for). I have the stock plenum in a box, will come with the car.

-SuperChips Power Programmer installed

-BBK 70mm Throttle Body

-Marauder rear sway bar installed. This really tightened up the boat-like feel this car had with the smaller Sport bar. The front sway bar is original, and is the same size as a Marauder front bar.

-Has Ebay “Darked Out” Headlights, they make the car look really nice. Stock headlights will come with the car.

-I also installed a Police Interceptor honeycomb grille, I think it looks better then the louvered stock grille. The stock grille will come with the car.

-LCM (Lighting Control Module) rebuilt with new headlamp and running lamp relays.

-Air Conditioning will freeze you out in the summertime.

-Keyless Entry pad never worked since I got the car, never cared, keyhole works perfectly.

-It has a couple scrapes, in the rear bumper, they were there when I bought it.

-Driver power mirror got broken after a deer accident. Bodywork done by Choko, but he never replaced the mirror. :frowning:

-Climate Control buttons on the steering wheel stopped working after I replaced the original EATC that failed, with a junkyard unit. Still have the original. You could swap the solenoids inside it, and the buttons will probably work again, but i never used them when they worked, so it never bothered me.

-New Alternator in Spring of 2010 from Advance Auto Parts.

-New Battery in December of 2010 from Auto Zone.

I’d like $4500…pretty firm on the price…but I’ll entertain offers. If I don’t like it, I’ll just say no.
I feel the car is worth it. The body is in great shape, it’s reliable as hell, and it’s safe to drive.

Located in Pembroke, NY; 20 minutes east of Buffalo.

Here are a couple pictures I took off of one of the photographers’ website that photographs cars all day long, on the Tail of the Dragon @ Deal’s Gap, in Tennessee.

After some peer-pressure, the Starion/Conquest guys convinced me to take it down the drag strip, lol.

Interior

Deff a well maintained ride.

I love this thing for some reason.

I was thinking the same thing.

You could spook out so many ppl with this thing…

Stupid time out and double posts!

Cops wave at him, Its funny. GLWS Can’t wait for you to pick up your new ride!

Must be nice having the left lane hogs move over when you come up behind them.

I would love to grab one of these but with the amount of driving I do, I just can’t justify cutting my MPG’s nearly in half. Someday though I’ll have to own one. JayS’s point above is enough reason alone lol!

For some reason I’m drawn to this…hmmm

Yeah it was actually pretty funny. I had no idea what ‘fun’ I was in for, until the drive home from Washington, DC in the middle of the night/early morning after I had bought it. Coming up through Pennsylvania, I literally had the left lane to myself the whole way home. People saw me coming up behind them, and they moved over before I needed to slow down and wait for them to make up their mind. I made pretty decent time too. Smooth sailing all the way home. It hasn’t changed. People move over. Plus, I’ve learned a few tricks along the way :snky:

And yes…as a matter of fact, I had a State Trooper driving a Tahoe wave at me Tuesday. I tend to wave back.

good price and nice car!

Thanks everyone. It’s priced to sell. I’m picking up my next car in the next 2 weeks so I’d like to see this car gone before or shortly after.

BUMP! Picking up my new ride this weekend and I’d really like to see this car go!

whats it run in the 1/4 mile?
