Hey guys, I have a '03 400ex for sale.
It has Maxis Razr 2 tires, a twist throttle insted of thumb, Big Gun rach exhaust, its raised a little and it has a K&N filter on it.
I’m asking $2,200 for it.
I will also take a trade on a car with a manual tranny with not a lot of work. I might throw some money with the quad. So, throw your offers at me.
Also, I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THE QUAD.

I know, I wish I had it. It was written up like that by the dealer for some reason. I think he was a complete iddiot and didn’t know what he was doing. thats why I have no title.
the dealer you bought it from didnt give you a title?

Its a long story why he doesnt have a title for it, but Ill let him tell you. Its a little personal, but Im sure he wants to be nothing but honest. 
I also have to say this Quad is a blast to ride. Ive only road it once, but its got more power than I expected.

on a side note if it was a couple years newer i would be on this i am not a fan of the 2 headlight old school look. good luck selling this and you dont need a title to ride in the woods. :hsdance:(technically you might but not realistically)

Alright since he hasn’t posted the story I will for him to the best of my knowledge.
No its not stolen. It was purchased I believe from Angels Cycles in Rostraver right off of 51. He and his dad paid so much of what they were asking, and were going to make payments from there. I guess the deal was: You pay the quad off you get the title. Well, Mitch’s dad got really sick and ended up passing away. Seeing as the loan was in his dads name I guess they didnt have to pay whatever was left they owed. He could have paid it off, but he and his mom were going through tough times from what had happened and ended up not paying it off. So, that being said, he never got the title for it. The quad was NOT stolen, and everything I have said is the truth to the best of my knowledge. If I am wrong on anything, Mitch can correct me.
The reason he is selling it is he doesnt have the time/want to ride anymore, and would like to pick up a beater (5 Spd Preferably) for the winter.

So you’re trying to sell a quad that still “legally” belongs to the dealership?

if you have the proper loan i forget what the name is. once the person dies its paid off fully and given to who ever is named in the loan. but the title should have been given to then at that point. i know they have that for cars becausei was on my ex’s.
I’m sure it was payed off in the estate when my dad died though I didn’t get a title. I’m sure someone especially our lawyer would have said something if something wasn’t right.

My dad and I went to see his friend who owns a dealership. While looking at quads, he walked out and told us he’d knock off xx amount of dollars off of the quad. From what I now understand, he wrote the quad up as an “accessory” so my dad wouldn’t have to pay any tax on it.

so if i take the VIN off the quad take it to the dealer (which is already stated in an earlier post) they will say that its free and clear of any debt to them. aka if i get busted in the woods the cops arent going to repo it are they?
I get what your saying. let me goto the dealer and make sure everyone has their storys right. I see him 1 or 2 times a month, I figure he’d say something about it if there was a problem. But, I’ll check up on it to be sure
i think that is all that people are worried about. maybe ask him to give you a bill of sale from back in the day. that would prob help. im just lookin to clear shit up
