Throwing my race bike up for sale, I want to get into a 4-stroke 450 for next season so this has to go first. This bike is loaded with upgrades, runs super crisp, and meticulously maintained.
2003 RM250:
-Boyesen Reeds
-FMF Gold Series SST pipe(not a single ding/dent)
-FMF Pro Circuit R304 Silencer
-Gripper seat cover with new foam
-custom jetting
-rebuilt braking system (3 months ago)
-wave rotors front and rear
-rebuilt rear suspension linkage (beginning of summer '12)
-Suspension rebuild/upgrade by MotionCraft
-Excel rims
I have a bunch of extras that will come with such as a plethora or spare levers, a brand new in packaging rear fender, stock pipe, stock reeds, and anything else I happen to have for this bike. It’s been a great bike. I purchased it off a technician from Hot2Go (a racing snowmobile and motorsports shop in wheatfield). Previous owner did a top end refresh on it and jetted the carb. Starts 1st or second kick EVERY time. Oil is changed roughly twice a week religiously, and filter is changed or cleaned (depending on condition) every couple hours worth of ride time.
ONLY things this bike could maybe use is a new rear tire and maybe grips and a graphics kit. I’m pretty firm on my asking price of $1500, but money talks. I’ll most likely continue to ride and maintain this until it sells, or trade it in for a '12 leftover in the spring if it doesn’t sell.
I’m avoiding CL cause I really don’t care to deal with fuckbags trying to offer me $800 and mass amounts of flaky emails. Thanks for your interest, PM or post for questions and whatnot.
they almost ALWAYS are… I’m not a balls-to-the-wall type of rider, I’m 26 and past my prime so I don’t ride fearless like this 13-16yr old kids I race against lol. I’ve had this bike around 3yrs now and it has never let me down.
it’s definitely snappy as shit and a dream in corners…I’m just ready to upgrade, and my old age has me more relaxed on the throttle and I would be better suited on a thumper.
bump. Would take rock-bottom price of $1350 FIRM for an NYspeeder, not a penny less…if I can move it before winter. Otherwise I’ll trade it in during the winter on a 2012 leftover.
after November 12th I’ll just trade it in. I was trying to sell this instead so I could pay off a few small credit card debts and take a little money to Vegas, but if that doesn’t happen I’ll just trade it in when I get back while the winter prices come down and 2012 leftover 450f’s are easy to be had.
