Same car as his sig, and I think it’s silver. 95 Lotus Esprit

My Lotus Esprit.

Lots of interest, no bites yet though…

great car and great seller!

Ok guys, interestingly enough a DD just came along I’d like to buy, so this car is officially for sale. PM me to check it out if interested. Thanks.

Passing your car along to a few friends- maybe one of them will check it out.

Whats the new DD your hoping to get?

Also on CL, here’s the ad: http://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/1623586271.html

Ugh… this car is sooo nice. How are these as far as life in mileage? I know old volvo’s are beasts that seem to never die

I got money for a red M3 if you got some extra to buy this.

By the way awesome car, my friend picked up a black one with an awesome cinnamon interior over the winter. Such nice cars.

Frost these cars are incredibly over built, I’d say 250K-300K, no doubt in my mind. That’s why I got it in the first place. This car literally drives like a new car with 137K on the clock. I strongly encourage ANY interested buyer to drive it. You’d NEVER guess it has that mileage. It runs/drives like a dream.

Couple more (By the way, the rear seats have been used twice since I’ve owned it, and the PO was a travelling business man, the seats/carpet/mats are like new):

Also, I may test the waters with eBay, which I’ve never done, but we’ll see…

Is the KBB way off on these things?
Like waaayyyyyy off?

Huh?

Debate it or not, but I ran it too. Even with every box ticked (like all the flavors of nav/wheels/sunroof) it came to a hair over $10K, in the uppermost “excellent condition” category, with 138,000 miles.

I like the car, and GLWS.

Ahh yes, the old KBB argument again for a rare car…

Did you also check the boxes showing extra set of $1,000 worth of new wheels with snow tires, and the box showing a brand new Volvo steering rack and alternator, and also accounting for the rarity of a 6-speed S60 R in this area?

KBB is a guide, nothing more. 20 year old MR2’s to KBB are worth 1500, but they sell for 2-3 times that. If you’re interested in the car, contact me, if not that’s fine too. I don’t need a reminder of what KBB shows, I can check that myself.

But like I said, if you’re REALLY interested, get a hold of me, I’m sure something can be worked out.

Pretty sure fixing things when they break doesn’t increase the value of a car

Pretty sure if I wanted your opinion I’d have asked for it. You’re obv. not interested, I’d prefer that if you’re not interested in the car, that you don’t post about it. You’re input is not helping.

There’s also a big diff. in a car that’s deteriorated to a certain value, and a car that’s had a ton of recent maint. gone into it to help justify it’s value.

While you are totally spot on about KBB and this car, he’s completely right about the repair not increasing the value.

Anyway, GLWS.

eh, listing new parts/things that have been replaced/maintenance preformed isnt going to hurt either. its potential repair costs you dont need to worry about.

Fair enough, but it doesn’t directly increase the selling price.

Exactly Jeff (Evolve/GeeHee).

But Jeff, SI01, I understand what you’re saying. It’s just that too many things can go wrong with a car, I like mentioning what’s recently been done that is costly, but yet doesn’t ever have to be done again now, things like a steering rack, and alt. Odds are, the car won’t need those parts again now.
