The Lotus elise / exige market is interesting.
the Elise’s did get under $30k for a while but everyone always knew they wouldnt say that low.
you cant really get a good clean Elise for under $28k now… the price dipped in sync with the recession and popped back up and will probably stay about where it is for another couple years. there is nothing that is really a true substitute for a good clean elise at that price range.
You gotta be flexible.

Try getting in/out of it when you’re in a sling… I’ve driven this a few times when it was NA and it really is a blast. We need to get some videos of it soon.
I’m not flexible. Let’s just say that those who know me know it’s not the car for me. I got into Joe’s Lotus Esprit a couple summers ago and it was scarily similar to what those people had to do on that video. rides nice and handles tight, but Jesus are the engineer’s of these cars circus performers or what?

I always thought getting into an Esprit was like any other car. Getting into an Elise is almost like getting into a car with a door that doesn’t open and crawling in through the window.
I literally rolled out and onto the ground in newmans. It was sad.
I would also consider trades for something cool and cash on your end.
